"Be Aware, Be Ready" Family Safety and Fun Fair

Several local agencies took part in the third annual "Be Aware, Be Ready" Family Safety and Fun Fair at College Square Mall.  Children and families came to learn more about how to keep themselves safe during most types of situations.
 
Covenant's "Air Care" Helicopter made an appearance, showing children and their families their high-tech helicopter up close.
 
Mix 96 on-air personality Teri Lynn was on hand broadcasting live during the event.
 
 Students from Black Hawk Gymnastics and Cheer provided entertainment and fun by performing for the crowd.

Cedar Falls Fire Rescue was part of the action, showing children the inner workings of their fire truck.
 
 
 
Officers from the Cedar Falls Police Department were also on hand promoting how to keep yourself safe.
 
 EMT's from Sartori were here to show off their ambulance and how they transport patients to the hospital.

Medical Assistants from the Hamilton College Medical Assistants Program were on hand doing blood pressure checks and cholesterol and glucose screenings promoting better health. 
 
Rising Sun Karate of Parkersburg owned by instructor Karla Fuller was also a part of the action

Scheels All Sports at College Square promoted bike and skateboard safety showing the proper safety items needed whenever you ride your bike.
 
Sprint was also a part of the day promoting cell phone safety.
