Rowling was in the air at College Square Mall on Friday, July 20, 2007. Hundreds of die hard Harry Potter fans joined in the fun during the "Midnight Magic Celebration" beginning at 10:30 p.m. Fun was had by all as they waited for the magic hour of midnight when the doors of B. Dalton opened and began selling copies of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", the last book in the adventures of Harry Potter and his friends as they struggled against the dark forces of "he who shall not be named". Check out the fun! Big Harry Potter fans wait in line to enter the "Midnight Magic Celenbration". Simone from B. Dalton patiently waits to begin handing out wristbands to customers waiting to get their hands on book seven in the Harry Potter series. Mrs. Leo at Pretzelmaker waits for the crowd to come in. Pretzelmaker wowed the crowd with their lightning bolt, witch hat and wand pretzels. Tim, the owner of Villa Italian and his friend Christina wait to begin selling yummy pizza and breadsticks to the hungry witches and wizards coming to get their book! The magic hour is here and the begin streaming in... Early fans get a head start at the Creation Station where they could answer trivia questions, color bookmarks or complete Harry Potter themed crossword puzzles and word searches. K's Crystal Divinations loses the vision as his crystal ball goes dark... A young man lets Madame Puddifoot read his tea leaves. He must not like what she sees in his future. A young Harry Potter pays a visit to the Midnight Magic Celebration! Fans crowd around the video game stations featuring Harry Potter video games courtesy of GameStop. The fans take a rest and enjoy some treats from Villa Italian and Pretzelmaker as the hour of midnight approaches. Stil waiting... And waiting... Professor McGonagal even paid us a visit! (Dee, manager of B. Dalton) The fans have lined up and are ready to go! Just waiting for midnight... An excited fan runs from B. Dalton, rushing to get home and start reading! Customers are patiently lined up and ready to purchase their books. All the celebration attendees had book in hand and the party closed down around 1:30 a.m. Thanks to everyone who attended and made our final "Midnight Magic Celebration" a success!
