Thursday, August 14 at 10:45am Due to popularity this FREE event will move to a bigger space. The new location will be between Tradehome Shoes and UniversiTEE'S in the Mall's West Wing. Join College Square Mall and the Cedar Falls Public Library for a summer puppet and book series, book swap, and reading program. The Cedar Falls Library Staff with perform puppet shows based on the books Deborah Niland's "Annie's Chair," and Ethan Long's "Tickle the Duck." After the puppet show, stick around for a book swap! Children are encouraged to bring their gently read books to trade for a "new" gently read book. Donated and purchased books from outside sources will also be part of the book swap. For every book a child brings for the swap, they will be able to take one with them if they desire. Attendees will receive valuable College Square coupons, a voucher for FREE Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream and have a chance to win prizes. During the summer months, participate in the College Square reading program by tracking minutes read each week at home, charting them here at College Square, and qualifying for great prizes! To participate in the summer reading program, families must stop by the mall's Customer Service Center by June 27 to pick up materials. Event attendance is not required. The reading program calls for children to read themselves, be read to or compile minutes using a combination of the two each week. Please join us this summer for another puppet show and book fun!
